Kitten Adoption and Switzerland or Austria

Are you interested in a kitten from our cattery and do you live in Switzerland or Austria? On this page, you’ll learn everything about the unique personalities of Abyssinian and Somali cats, as well as the proper procedure for making a reservation and ensuring legally compliant transport to your home.

Smooth Delivery of Kittens to Switzerland and Austria

We regularly receive inquiries from cat lovers in Swiss cantons (such as Zurich, Bern, Basel, and St. Gallen) and Austrian states (such as Vienna, Vorarlberg, Tyrol, Salzburg, and Styria). We have a well-organized process for shipping to these countries, and it is 100% compliant with the law.

Complete Primary Immunization & Legal Age for Administration

Since legal requirements apply to cross-border transport to Switzerland and Austria, and since the health of our animals is our top priority, kittens intended for export do not leave our facility until they have completed their full course of basic vaccinations:

1. Complete primary immunization:
The kittens receive their vaccinations against feline rhinitis and feline panleukopenia (initial and booster shots) as well as the rabies vaccine.

2. Statutory waiting period:
After the rabies vaccination (which is administered starting at 12 weeks of age), there is an international waiting period of 21 days before the vaccination is officially valid.

3. Departure:
Once all vaccinations have been completed and the 21-day period following the rabies vaccination has elapsed (starting at 15 weeks of age), the kittens may legally cross the border with full protection.
